Pigeon Passion. the Complete Pigeon and Racing Pigeon Guide.
by Elliott Lang (Author)

Pigeon Passion wrote by Elliott Lang, wrote his book on his years of experience of pigeon keeping. He packed this book with useful hits and tips. Whatever he mentioned is definitely not based on nonsense fashion, He covers all aspects of pigeon keeping like pigeon’s health, accommodation, breeding and in more details about pigeon racing and training. This book offers everything a pigeon fancier need to in very easy to read style. Elliott Lang is definitely pigeon keeper of present times and he wrote full of up to date and sound advice and answer all kind question that one fancier should have.  This book is must for every pigeon fancier if you keep homing pigeon and race them than it’s a plus for you.
This book is consisting of 160 pages with great average 4.0 out of 5 stars on amazon with numbers of positive customer review. One thing that I felt that this book is not in basic context and reader should have beginning knowledge of pigeon keeper. Therefore you would find mixed customer’s review

This author writes with the assumption that you are already well-versed in pigeon racing. If you are a complete newcomer like me, you'll find him referencing things without bothering to explain them. If you are already experienced with pigeons, then you'll already know all of this anyway. He somehow managed to find a way to cover the basics in a way that is useless to a newbie. Very disappointed.

There are three books of same write “Wendell M.Levi” that are considered to be the best ever books in the history of pigeons fancy. Wendell M levi is considered to be the most authentic person in the world of pigeon fancy, who tried to cover world famous pigeons standard breeds with documented proof. His all books are true masterpiece.
Among his many books I will recommend these three books that every fancier should have.
1
  Encyclopedia of Pigeon Breeds
The Pigeon
Making pigeon Pay

Encyclopedia of Pigeon Breeds & The pigeon
by Wendell M. Levi

Encyclopedia of Pigeon breeds and the pigeons are the 2 best books every published. If you are novice, intermediate or advance pigeon fancier/keeper you will be benefited by reading the books. Encyclopedia of pigeon breeds includes chapters on relationship between man and pigeon, pigeon requirements of health, feed and also training of tipplers and Birmingham rollers. Detailed illustrations of loft design and accommodation requirement of pigeons and much more.

Another best part of this book is that include color pics of hundreds of pigeon breeds. Some that no are no longer in existence today. In short both of these books are highly recommended to new, intermediate or advance pigeon fanciers. Both of them have some overlaps of chapters or topics but “Encyclopedia of Pigeons breeds” is much more detailed and helpful.

5.0 out of 5 stars The CLASSIC easy-to-read squab primer!
I have a library of squab-raising books that includes several versions by Elmer Rice. I enjoy all of them, but Making Pigeons Pay is the CLASSIC.
I recently purchased it with two other great pigeon books by the late Wendell Levi - THE PIGEON, and

ENCYCLOPEDIA OF PIGEON BREEDS.
Yes, in some areas MPP is outdated - the miracle he supposed DDT to be turned out not to be the success envisioned. Yet, most of the other salient points remain as valid today as when the first edition was published in 1946.
If you are interested in squab raising on a commercial scale you will need Making Pigeons Pay (MPP).
If, though, your interest is in raising breeds primarily for show or exhibition buy Encyclopedia of Pigeon Breeds.
If you are interested in exhibition breeds with the ambition to sell breeders, you of course will want to at least buy The Pigeon and Encyclopedia of Pigeon Breeds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Real or Not Real
OK, so my son bought this as a joke for his book loving sister with a slight case of ornithophobia (fear of birds). He saw Jimmy Fallon show the book on the Tonight Show in a "Real or Not Real" sketch. Apparently it's real. I had no idea people actually ate baby pigeons, let alone could make a business out of it at one point in time. Will undoubtedly go over well when opened for her Birthday.
